NAAP places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy and terms of use was created in order to demonstrate NAAP’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by our website www.naaponline.org, and how this information is used.

You acknowledge that you have read and agree to be bound by these terms of use and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including without limitation U.S. export and re-export technical data exported from the United States or the country in which you reside. You further agree to comply with all local laws, regulations and rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content. You represent you have the legal authority to accept these terms of use on behalf of yourself or any party you represent. If you do not agree to these terms of use, do not use this site in any manner.

“SITE” encompasses NAAP’s website and all of its content and policies, any modifications, updates, enhancements, revisions, new features, and/or the addition of any new web properties, including any social media properties. NAAP reserves the right to make any SITE changes at any time and without prior notice.

NAAP members that register for www.naaponline.org and individuals that sign up to receive NAAP communications voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes. You may always “opt out,” either now or at any time in the future if you do not wish to receive our messages.

If personally identifiable information is voluntarily provided, for example, by sending an e-mail or by filling out a form and submitting it through the site, we use that information to respond to your message and to help us provide you with the information and services that you request. All uses of that information are described on the web page containing the form.

Submitting voluntary information constitutes your consent to the use of the information for the stated purpose. When you click the “Submit” button on any of the web forms found on the site, you are indicating your voluntary consent for us to use of the information you submit for the purpose stated.

NAAP uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.naaponline.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

A cookie is a very small text file that is placed on your hard drive. Cookies do not contain any personal information about you. We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process your membership application; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitor of our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users’ needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally, but showing how many visitors used which features, for example) to outside parties.

The NAAP logo is used to identify our organization, products, and activities. Use of the NAAP logo, or the logo of any NAAP Chapters is prohibited without written permission. Only NAAP can grant authorization for use of the logo. For written permission please contact us. At the time permission is granted, NAAP will provide you with our requirements as to color, typeface, size, etc. for reproduction of the logo.

NAAP does not provide, sell, or rent email addresses to anyone outside the organization.

www.naaponline.org includes links to external websites. These links do not fall under the www.naaponline.org domain, and NAAP is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of external websites. Your use of any linked website is solely at your own risk.

We may amend this privacy policy and terms of use from time to time; please review it periodically. We maintain the option to modify this privacy policy and terms of use at any time by electronic notice posted on our website. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.

The SITE, including all text, logos or graphic images appearing therein, and any and all intellectual property rights associated with this SITE and its contents are the sole property of NAAP, its affiliates or third parties. • Conduct or forward surveys, contests, pyramid schemes or chain letters.
• Download any file posted by another user of a Communication Service that you know, or reasonably should know, cannot be legally distributed in such manner.
• Falsify or delete any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded.
• Restrict or inhibit any other user from using and enjoying the Communication Services.
• Violate any code of conduct or other guidelines which may be applicable for any particular Communication Service.
• Harvest or otherwise collect information about others, including e-mail addresses, without their consent.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.

NAAP has no obligation to monitor the Communication Services. However, NAAP reserves the right to review materials posted to a Communication Service and to remove any materials in its sole discretion. NAAP reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time, without notice, for any reason whatsoever.

NAAP reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in NAAP’s sole discretion.

Always use caution when giving out any personally identifying information about yourself or other people in any Communication Service. NAAP does not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in any Communication Service and, therefore, NAAP specifically disclaims any liability with regard to the Communication Services and any actions resulting from your participation in any Communication Service.

By posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting your submission to NAAP, you are granting NAAP, its affiliated companies and necessary sub licensees permission to use your submission in connection with the operation of their Internet businesses including, without limitation, the rights to: copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your submission; and to publish your name in connection with your submission.

No compensation will be paid with respect to the use of your submission, as provided herein. NAAP is under no obligation to post or use any submission you may provide and may remove any submission at any time in NAAP’s sole discretion.

NAAP does not monitor message boards hosted on its SITE. The content of message boards is the sole responsibility of the person supplying the content, and NAAP assumes no liability related to the content of such boards. All messages posted on NAAP message boards are non-confidential and will be treated as such.

NAAP reserves the right to terminate at any time, at its sole discretion, the SITE and/or your use of the SITE.

Possible evidence of use of this SITE for illegal purposes will be provided to law enforcement authorities. Please report any violations of these Terms of Use to NAAP.

We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time at its sole discretion and without notice to you. All Privacy Policy changes are effective immediately. Your continued use of the Site following any Privacy Policy changes will mean you accept those changes.

These Terms of Use are entered into and granted in the State of New York and shall be governed by and interpreted pursuant to the laws of the State of New York, United States of America, excluding any law or conflicts or law principle that would apply the law of another jurisdiction. You expressly agree that the exclusive jurisdiction for any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Use shall be filed only in the federal or state court with competent jurisdiction located in New York. You consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction by such courts in any such action. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is unlawful, void, or unenforceable, that part will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
